Medicare Advantage, also known as Part C, is an alternative to Original Medicare. When individuals enroll in Medicare Advantage they have more control over their coverage and what their policy looks like. Part C policies are sold through independent insurance agencies (like us!) that work closely alongside Medicare.
If you want expanded coverage, then Medicare Advantage may be right for you. If you’re looking into dental, vision, and hearing coverage, then you’ll need to choose Medicare Advantage. These options are not available within Original Medicare, but that doesn’t mean that they’re not important to have.

Medigap is supplemental insurance that’s available for individuals enrolled in Original Medicare. Through Medigap, individuals can save money on some of the out-of-pocket costs associated with Original Medicare. How much an individual saves will depend on the specific Medigap policy that they enroll in, so it’s important to examine all the different options and speak to an insurance professional about which one makes the most sense for your specific situation.
It’s important to note that enrolling in Medigap will not change your coverage. Individuals will have access to the same amount of coverage, they will just be saving money in certain areas. Understanding this is important, as some people wrongly believe that Medigap will change the coverage they have.
